Active for more than a decade within the Geneva scene, DJ Laxxiste A. has established himself as one of the key figures of the local club culture. A DJ digger, musician, producer and experimenter, he has helped shape a sonic landscape where rave culture, dub and adventurous electronic music intersect. As one half of the duo Oram Modular, which left a strong mark on Geneva’s house and techno scene, and the initiator of several live projects, he has always navigated between soundsystem culture, the dancefloor and free party.

With this new project composed of five original tracks and two remixes, Laxxiste delivers a synthesis of his musical obsessions. Jungle, acid, breakbeat and dub meet here in a dense and textured universe, driven by a dub-oriented mix that feels alive and fully embraced.

These tracks were first tested live. Before taking shape as finished pieces, they were tried and developed through a hardware live set built by Laxxiste, a sonic laboratory where machines, FX, samples and rhythms are recomposed in real time. This performative origin can be felt throughout the record itself. The tracks move forward with an organic, sometimes raw energy, where lo-fi textures, twisted samples and deep basslines create the perfect playground for the most adventurous dancefloors.

Two collaborations enrich the record. On one of the tracks appears Lateena, an essential figure of the Swiss dancehall scene, whose voice brings a distinctive energy to the project. Another piece unfolds through a double transformation, with a remix by Bony Fly, later extended into a dub version by dubmaster Androo, pushing the exploration of bass and echoes even further.

Through this release, DJ Laxxiste A. confirms his singular position within the club scene. Both heir to rave and soundsystem cultures and a tireless sonic explorer, he continues to build bridges between the dancefloor and experimentation, with music crafted for seasoned ravers as much as for listeners drawn to deep electronic textures.
