Plays On is the second studio album by the British band Climax Blues Band (at the time still performing under the full name The Climax Chicago Blues Band), released in October 1969. This album is considered a significant milestone in the band's history, as it marked the beginning of the band's departure from the pure blues of their debut and its experimentation with elements of jazz-rock, progressive rock, and even a "space" sound.
For this album, the lineup was reduced to a quintet (bassist Richard Jones left the band before recording, and Derek Holt assumed his bass duties).
