Setting - Setting (2026) [Hi-Res]

BAND/ARTIST: Setting

The trio Setting, comprising experienced multi-instrumentalists, presents an album where free improvisation converges with compositional discipline. Utilizing a vast array of instruments—ranging from vintage cassette loops and synthesizers to banjo and zithers—the musicians craft multilayered soundscapes that blend hypnotic rhythms with meditative textures. The band's creative method is built on years of mutual trust and intuitive interaction, transforming the studio recording into an organic process akin to "breathing." The work is characterized by a synthesis of jazz spontaneity, elements of kosmische rock, and ethnic rhythmic structures. The result is transformative music that intentionally evades genre boundaries, focusing instead on conveying emotional states and a profound exploration of sonic space.
