More than fifty years ago, 16-year-old Zeinab Shaath composed the first English-language folk protest songs dedicated to the Palestinian cause. Decades later, the Discostan and Majazz Project labels have reissued a remastered version of her record, "The Urgent Call of Palestine." This release restores Shaath’s legacy within the global history of anti-colonial music, highlighting the enduring relevance of her humanistic message in the current era.
