Hors du tempo ("Out of Time") is the fifth studio album by Vendée-based collective Strollad, released in 2026 on B.A.ba music. With this record, the group commits to a harder, more politically engaged sound — a deliberate departure from radio-friendly norms and the dictates of the music market, reflected even in the album's title.
The nine tracks were recorded together as a full band at Studio Alhambra in Rochefort, preserving the raw energy of the group's live performances. Recording and mixing were handled by Vincent Barcello (Les Idiots, Villa Fantôme); mastering was carried out by Alexis Bardinet (Noir Désir, Claudio Capéo, La Ruda) at Globe Audio in Bordeaux. Lyricists were brought in to address themes as varied as collective celebration, the forgotten and marginalised, social struggle, democracy, dance, and drink — all wrapped in vigorous, muscular arrangements.
The album's most pointed moment is a charged cover of "Je n'ai pas" by Les Frères Misère, the band associated with Mano Solo, whose confrontational spirit aligns squarely with Strollad's longstanding ethos of festive but conscious music-making. For the first time in the group's history, the release is available on vinyl alongside the Digipack CD format, including a limited collector's pressing.
