Compass is an ambitious large-scale project by Mexican producers Camilo Lara (Mexican Institute of Sound) and Toy Hernández (Control Machete, Toy Selectah), uniting over 80 artists from around the world. Mexican and Latin American traditions serve as the foundation for electronic experimentation across 13 tracks featuring contributors as varied as Kool A.D., Emicida, Crystal Fighters, and Toots Hibbert. Despite its mixtape-like structure, the album coheres through the producers' assured curatorial touch, drawing genuine creative sparks from each collaboration.
