Tokyo Strayers (Tokyo Strayers Film Partners, March 20, 2026) is the original soundtrack to the Japanese youth drama of the same name directed and written by Ren Akiba.
The film follows two young women — Asuka, an 18-year-old runaway, and Hiyori, the anonymous author of a popular web novel about her life in the Toyoko subculture — as their worlds collide over one turbulent night in Kabukicho, the district beside the Toho cinema complex in Shinjuku. The script is drawn from Akiba's own street-level research into the community of drifting youth who gather at the plaza beneath Godzilla's statue. Michihito Fujii, known for The Journalist and Yakuza and the Family, served as executive producer.
The score was composed by Yusuke Tsutsumi, a Tokyo-born composer whose work spans modern classical, neoclassical darkwave, video game music, and ambient. He began making music at age 14, and his first film scores appeared in 2011. His discography ranges from the cultishly beloved visual novel soundtrack The House in Fata Morgana to the feature film Atropia.
