Boogie Long is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He gained widespread recognition after winning Guitar Center's King of the Blues competition in 2011. In 2019, he was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. His subsequent albums, Jonathon Long (2018) and Parables of a Southern Man (2021), produced by Samantha Fish, both reached the top 10 of the Billboard blues charts.
