Sally Nyolo is a Cameroonian artist who launched her professional career in Paris as a backing vocalist for prominent European and African musicians. Following her contribution to film soundtracks and a performance at the WOMAD festival, she gained international acclaim as a member of the ensemble Zap Mama. Her debut solo album, "Tribu" (1996), recorded in the Eton language, received the RFI "Découvertes" award and achieved substantial commercial success, establishing her as a leading figure in contemporary African music. Nyolo’s work is characterized by a sophisticated synthesis of traditional folklore and modern soundscapes.
