NAPS Records presents the second installment of the "Crate Diggers of the Far East" series, focusing on mellow psychedelia and folk from the Asia-Pacific region recorded between the 1960s and 1980s. The compilation is the culmination of a three-year research project involving private archives from Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, and the Philippines. Diverging from the common emphasis on East Asian garage rock, this release explores the "mellow psych" phenomenon, blending Western soft-rock influences with local traditions. The collection features rare tracks by Loong Yu, Harry Roesli, and Bubi Chen, many of which are appearing digitally for the first time. All material has been meticulously remastered from original tapes or rare vinyl pressings to preserve the authentic analog warmth of these introspective works.
