Bruno Mars - The Romantic (2026)

10 years. That's how long it took for Bruno Mars to return with a solo album. And now his fourth studio album, The Romantic, is finally here. The nine-song release is the singer's cleanest and most coherent work to date: it pays homage to the soul and pop traditions of the 70s and 80s, with a particular emphasis on the romantic quiet storm sound of Philadelphia soul and R&B, while also adding Latin rock elements. By consciously embracing Chicano aesthetics and musical tradition, he reconnects with Bruno's origins.

I Just Might, released before the album's release, made history: the song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in the artist's career. The album's opening track, Risk It All, also received special attention; The song has a new music video directed by Bruno Mars and Daniel Ramos, which takes viewers to a romantic Latin American wedding.

The tracks on The Romantic are not only unified in their sound, but also in their narrative. The opening section conveys the energy of desire and conquest, while the middle section thematizes commitment and the promise of a shared future. The LP’s closing tracks – particularly Nothing Left and Dance With Me – explore the fragility of relationships and the hope of a new beginning, in a more intimate, restrained approach.
