Grant Lyle - And Now (2025)

Singer/guitarist Grant Lyle rocks well on this album with a Doobie Brothers feel. He’s teamed with Scott Brammer/b, Michael Sloski/dr, Owen Cross-Owen Tennyson/perc, Rob Gusevs/key, Roly Platt/harp and Jenna Harding-Pat Dickinson/voc for a collection of mostly originals. The one cover is an easy glide of Spencer Davis’ “Gimme Some Lovin’” with Lyle almost as gritty as Steve Winwood, while is voice works well on the reggae’d “Won’t Let You Go” and the swampy “Lose It”. His guitar licks are tasty on the blue “And Now” and boogies down on “One Desire”. A long train runnin’.~ By George W. Harris
