Cult Of The UFO is the name used by Anthony Barker, of Overlords Of The UFO, for his solo productions. Previous releases have sailed onto our pages under a range of flags, from "proto-disco and techno" to "uplifting trance", but 'Spaceflowers' finds him navigating slightly more downtempo waters, though still drawing almost exclusively on electronic sounds. Tracks range from the hypnotic 'Triloka', which defies the last sentence with its use of traditional Indian instruments, to the spooky, cinematic 'Moon Rabbit', but the emphasis overall is on meandering, unhurried synths-n'-beats excursions that invite you to dive headlong into their sonic complexity.
