Michal Urbaniak - I Jazz Love You (2005)

An album for lovers!? Michał Urbaniak's latest CD reissue, "I Jazz Love You," is his favorite. It showcases the famous talking violin sound that so captivated M. Davis, which led to a joint recording session for the TUTU album. The acoustic album contains melodic pieces that create a cohesive composition. The recordings, featuring leading American musicians, were made in New York in 2002 and 2003. Urbaniak enlisted a select group of musicians: piano - Mike Gerber, Horace Parlan, Kenny Barron; bass - Ron Carter, Kenny Davis; and drums - Lenny White, Roy Haynes. The album "I Jazz Love You" reflects a sentiment Urbaniak has heard many times in different parts of the world: "I don't know anything about jazz, but I love what he does.
