Flickerstick - Superluminal (2025)

Here's an unexpected comeback with Texas based Flickerstick who announced their reunion in 2022 and the single Shine On. The band played a few shows with some original members and a couple of new additions to the line-up. The ones that are familiar with this band knows about their brilliant album Welcome Home The Astronauts from 2001, a major label release.

Vocalist/guitarist Brandin Lea is the original member left on the brand new album Superluminal but their signature sound of atmospheric rock is still a big part of the band's music in 2025. You can call it modern space rock or dreamlike alternative rock, I can go for both. The new album is better than Tarantula from 2004 but it doesn't reach the same heights as WHTA.
