Fértil Discos presents a tribute album to the legendary Argentine duo Leda Valladares and María Elena Walsh, curated under the direction of El Remolón and Brawlio. In the mid-20th century, the original duo revolutionized folk music by performing traditional repertoires from avant-garde and feminist perspectives. This new compilation reimagines their legacy by merging oral tradition and classic Ibero-American songs with contemporary electronic soundscapes, synthesizers, and beats. Featuring artists from various regions, the project creates a sonic map where folkloric genres (such as vidala, baguala, and cueca) fuse with downtempo, digital cumbia, and experimental music, effectively bridging historical memory with modern dance floor aesthetics.
