[untitled] Perú: Adentro is the second release in the curatorial collaboration between the labels Love in the Endz (UK) and Matraca (PE), focused on showcasing the talent of the Inca nation to the world. This volume brings together Peruvian artists from different generations who work within the country, each one creating a unique sound in their own way. Artists include ARK, Carly Core, Cybernovia, Dr.100, Fer Lerant, Hatajo Som, Hanuna, Irazema, Khromatik, Pira Lemu, Shushupe, Vudufa, among others.
Peru, rigth now, at the end of 2025, is experiencing the most severe political and social crisis in its republican history, with more than eight presidents in the last ten years and the highest rates of violence ever recorded. A congress co-opted by organized crime imposes a dictatorial and violent regime through pro-mafia laws and bullets to his own people. The military supports this, as well the U.S.A. government, which is advancing its intervention in the continent.
Meanwhile, on the streets, hired killers reign supreme, extorting even the humblest workers. Popular musicians, for their part, have begun wearing bulletproof vests during their performances, as several have recently been murdered and others wounded by gunfire on stage. Some, like the vast majority of young people in the country, have opted for migration, as we documented in [untitled] Peru: Outside.
The police, instead of protecting the citizenry, dedicate themselves to murdering artists (like TRVKO) and innocent people who demand their rights, as well as repressing culture and political freedom. The police, like the State and its agents, have lost all credibility.
Faced with this dystopian and wicked landscape, the musical community stands firm, creating with greater tenderness or violence, in their rhythms and sounds. In this way, this album bears witness to a diversity that reflects the ancient cultural richness of Peru and a community that demands Justice and Dignity for all Peruvians.
