Shortly before his death in July 2025, Israeli actor, singer, and painter Alon Aboutboul finished his second album, 'Footprints on Water,' created in collaboration with Rejoicer. This final project, a blend of poetic spoken word and atmospheric ambient rock, is a deeply personal and stunning collection. A significant part of the Raw Tapes crew participated in the recording. Alon Aboutboul, known for roles in films such as The Dark Knight Rises and Body of Lies, was born in 1965 and resides in Los Angeles. In his work, he often explores the mystical imagery of tarot, which is reflected in his melodies and lyrics. Aboutboul's music, also shaped by collaborators like The White Screen, merges elements of performance, painting, and music to form a vivid, cinematic soundscape.
