Or Kantor releases his sophomore album, Snake Island, a vivid and cinematic instrumental journey focusing on imagined landscapes and lost love. The album follows his successful 2024 debut, Sarda Sarda, which earned critical acclaim from various radio stations and publications. Kantor's musical path, as a respected tattoo artist, began when his demos were heard by Johnny Sharoni of Anova Records during a tattoo session, leading to an immediate signing. In Snake Island, Kantor further develops his style, which he calls Subterranean music, blending Mediterranean ballads, desert blues, spiritual jazz, and psychedelic textures. Kantor describes the album as a soundtrack to a fictional, disappeared film about a tragic love story, conceived during his time on an island in the Cyclades. Snake Island is positioned as a mythic, imagined soundtrack that only exists in memory.
