Modem - Interface (2025) Hi-Res

Helsinki-based synthpop duo Modem will release their second full-length album, "Interface," on October 10th.

"Interface" is a sleek, mirror-like work exploring identity, illusion, and emotional structures. Rooted in the cool pulse of minimal synthpop, the noir atmosphere of '80s film soundtracks, and the emotional tension of early Depeche Mode, it's both a love letter to the past and a sharp critique of the present. Gothic glamour, new wave sheen, and fluorescent melancholy blend seamlessly into Modem's musical universe.

Each track functions like a layer of a system: personas flicker, masks glitch, and reality fragments. This is a concept album for an age of curated selves and algorithmic intimacy. Modem sees identity not as a "mirror," but as an "interface."
