Yijia Tu is a Chinese singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in London, actively performing across Asia and Europe. Her work is notable for combining traditional Chinese music with contemporary genres, featuring her performance on traditional instruments like the Guzheng and her use of Tuvan throat singing techniques. In 2025, Yijia released the EP "TU" along with several singles, including "The Yi Sun," "Willow Flowers," and "Lullaby." She gained early recognition by participating in the Chinese show "Sing My Song" at age 16, and her debut album "17" received a prestigious Chinese music award. Yijia completed her music education at SOAS University of London and Oxford. She actively performs on international stages and regularly participates in cultural and educational projects aimed at representing Chinese music and culture, synthesizing Eastern and Western traditions through modern arrangements and ethnic elements.
