Linda Scott - Hey, Look At Me Now! (1965)

Hard not to look at Linda Scott with that image on the cover -- but we like listening to her even more, and she turns out to be one heck of a great under-discovered talent! The album's a nicely subtle one -- backings arranged and conducted by Ray Ellis without too much fanfare -- just the right balance to match Linda's slightly trilling vocal approach, but in ways that encourage it towards some of its gentler tendencies. A few tunes are nicely upbeat -- almost surprisingly so -- but most of the album's got a relatively moody, mellow feel. Titles include "Close Your Eyes", "That Old Feeling", "This Is My Prayer", "I'll See You In My Dreams", "Oh Look At Me Now", and "If I Love Again".
