Ritual Howls' sixth album, 'Ruin', is a refined evolution of their signature sound, which blends industrial, goth, and post-punk. The trio, composed of Paul Bancell, Chris Samuels, and Ben Saginaw, has crafted an album that showcases their renowned ability to embody contrasts, being simultaneously hauntingly bleak yet kinetically catchy. Over more than a decade, the Detroit-based Ritual Howls have consistently incorporated elements of old-school rave culture, lending a deeply physical experience to their music. Despite Bancell's relocation to Los Angeles after their previous 2023 album 'Virtue Falters', much of 'Ruin' was created through remote collaboration, culminating in intensive recording sessions with their long-time sound engineer Adam Cox back in Michigan. The album provides undeniable proof that Ritual Howls remain a creatively potent, truly collaborative unit at the top of their game.
