Shutaro Matsui - DANSE MACABRE (2024) Hi-Res

It's been a year since the release of my first album, "STEPS OF THE BLUE." Through concerts and composing over the past year, I've become convinced that "singing" with the trumpet is the core of the music I want to make. Produced by Makoto Ozone, who first sparked my love for jazz and is like a father figure to me as a musician. It was a dreamlike recording with my favorite musicians, all at the forefront of the world. From the first note, I felt like the music was moving in the direction I wanted, as if it had been breathed life into the song. I hope you enjoy this album, which captures the energy of my performance in New York. My recommended track, "TIGER MARCH," was chosen as the first track, as it captures the sound I wanted to capture in New York. For me, the sound of the tenor saxophone is Walter's, so this was the ideal take. I wrote the song with the image of a baby tiger dreaming of one day becoming a strong, big tiger.
