Marika Hiraga "Brisa" Released October 22, 2025 Following "Vintage" (2017) and "Gioia" (2020), this ambitious album welcomes Hakuei Kim as musical director. Its intimate world is backed by the duo's extensive live performance experience.
This ambitious album once again welcomes Hakuei Kim (p, ar), who served as musical director for "Vintage" (2017) and "Gioia" (2020). The intimate worldview is forged through the pair's extensive live performance experience in vocal and piano duets since 2017. Guitarist Hiroaki Ito joins the band as a guest, challenging themselves with a new chamber music trio. For the first time, Toru Takemitsu's "Tsubasa" (Wings) features a Japanese "song," and in addition to jazz standards, the album also features Brazilian music such as re-recordings of "The Show Must Go On" and "Bridges" (Milton Nascimento). This album is brimming with new ideas.
(Participating musicians) Marica Hiraga (Vocal), Hakuei Kim (Arr., Piano, Keyboards), Hirosato Ito (Guitar).
