“Ma io sono fuoco” – But I Am Fire – is Annalisa‘s new album, and it’s more than just a title: it’s a declaration of war, strength, and freedom.

After the success of her latest effort, E poi siamo finiti nel vortice, the Italian singer-songwriter returns with a project that burns with revenge, courage, and determination, transforming anger into power and music while redefining the role of women.

Annalisa draws inspiration from global pop icons — Madonna, Raffaella Carrà, The Weeknd, and many others — following an 80’s-inspired sound updated for our time. Produced by Simonetta and Salamone, the album blends powerful synths, electronic bass lines, and melodies, creating a beautiful world that vibrates with energy and experimentation. It’s a record unafraid to take risks: Annalisa plays with new arrangements, explores darker sounds and shows an artistic maturity that confirms her as one of the most iconic voices in contemporary Italian music.

The singer opened this era with two singles: “Maschio” – Male – and “Piazza San Marco”. Maschio is an elegant and razor-sharp provocation, an anthem to the freedom of being yourself beyond gender stereotypes. Piazza San Marco, on the other hand, is a modern ballad about the strength to stand tall even when everything seems to fall apart.

This project begins with “Dipende,” (It Depends) a spark of self-determination, and moves through “Delusa” (Disappointed) and “Avvelenata,” (Poisoned) where heartbreak becomes clarity. “Esibizionista” (Performer) and “Io sono” (I Am) feel like self-portraits — unapologetic, confident, true while having an up-beat tempo sound. Then the fire softens: “Emanuela”, “Chiodi” (Nails), and “Amica” (Friend) explore tenderness and the quiet strength found in connection.

The final track, “Una tigre sul letto continua a parlarmi”, (A tiger on the bed keeps talking to me) lingers like a dream, with a robot style synth in the background. The singer isn’t chasing perfection; she’s chasing truth.

Annalisa is ready to bring that fire to the stage. Her upcoming arena tour, Capitolo I, marks a new beginning — not just another tour, but the start of a new chapter. Kicking off in November 2025, it will light up Italy’s biggest arenas, many already sold out. The title itself says it all: Capitolo I isn’t an ending, it’s an opening — a declaration of growth, freedom, and fearless creativity.
