Simon Rose (baritone saxophone) and Jonas Gerigk (double bass) meet on a shared low fundamental – a common center. It's a dual foundation from which a rich polyphony of overtones unfolds. In repetitive passages and densely woven textures, the sound spectrum condenses into a second, shimmering overtone layer whose presence constantly shifts. The unique appeal of this duo lies in their sensitive engagement with resonance: a music emerges that flows, draws, and develops a trance-like pull. The timbres of the two instruments often resemble each other so closely that they seem to merge – as if forming a single, breathing body of sound.
