Highlights include Mikis Theodorakis’ deeply felt Adagio written in 1992 for the victims of the Bosnian war, and his Concertino inspired by the island of Crete; Nikos Skalkottas’ rhythmically dynamic and yet lyrical Concertino; Vassilis Tenidis’ folk-inspired Rhapsody and Oscar-winner Manos Hadjidakis’s Mr Knoll.
