"Ein Hase, ein Phönix, ein Schwan" is an album by Swiss guitarist Sebastian Bischoff, also known as Son of Buzzi. This 2025 full-length record continues his tradition of bending the rules of American Primitive guitar playing with experimental and electronic sounds. The album was recorded in December 2024 on a guitar inside a hut in the Ticino Mountains in Switzerland alone over a long weekend. The electronic accompaniments were recorded in Zurich and arranged together with Michael Potter. The music hums with tension, between delicacy and collapse, between motion and suspended time. It is tactile and flickering at the edges, feeling like memory folding in on itself, precise in one moment, blurred and drifting in the next. Built from field recordings, live fragments, and studio manipulations, it moves with a quiet, layered intimacy.
