Doideca - Sketches (Live) (2025) [Hi-Res]

Sketches is the first album, recorded live, by Doideca, a group formed by seven young musicians based in Barcelona. Their sound blends influences ranging from Brazilian music to jazz, incorporating elements of soul, pop, free improvisation, and classical music. The band’s name, inspired by a song by Caetano Veloso, is a play on the words *doido* (Portuguese for “crazy”) and dodecaphonism, reflecting their bold, free-spirited and ever-experimental essence.

With an unconventional instrumental lineup, the group presents a repertoire that combines original compositions, personal arrangements, and a strong ability to transport listeners through diverse soundscapes, with a rich, jazz-infused musical language full of influences.

Sketches was recorded live at the Teatre de l’Aurora, as part of the Estival de Jazz d’Igualada program, within the framework of the festival’s 12th edition of Carta Blanca.
