And we’re back. Following last year’s inaugural Superclásico compilation, we return with the sequel: 16 tracks of upfront club heat from some of the most exciting producers orbiting our world right now.
Superclásico Vol. 2 continues to chart a path through some of the worldwide club music landscape’s most exciting corners – from Chicago to Tokyo; London to LA; Belfast to Seoul. As ever, it’s a mix of Clasico regulars and extended family: new faces, old friends, and future collaborators.
Some of these collaborations have been a long time coming, whether through parties, radio shows or just D&Ms in the DMs. Chris Flannigan guested on our Rinse show back in 2023; Bianca Oblivion was scheming with us in a New Cross beer garden last summer; and we’re pumped to be hosting ELLES (who we've known since the Dance Tunnel days), who debuts her new alias E_E_E. And after contributing to Superclásico Vol. 1 with ‘Montuno’, it felt right to have old mate Wordclour handle mastering for the whole comp.
Musically, it’s bolder, brasher and a little rowdier this time around – a collection that swings between bassline mutations, percussive rollers, hyperhouse, dubstep wall-slammers, and late-night techno pressure. The beats hit harder, the breaks get bigger, and the stink-faces get meaner.
The project’s been quietly underway since last year. We took our time, built it properly, and let the tracks find their right moment. It takes a village to deliver something like this, and everyone involved knew the brief: make the club music that’s exciting you most in 2025. The result is a snapshot of where the global underground feels to us right now. The year may have changed, but the mission statement hasn’t.
