After five years of writing and recording Ron Korb’s highly anticipated new album Global Canvas will be celebrated in an album release concert Friday October 4th 2024 at the 3030 Dundas West club in the vibrant Junction area of Toronto. The album features Asian, Latin (Brazilian, Afro Cuban), cinematic, jazz and classical stylings and features his band of Bill Evans- piano, Steve Lucas - acoustic bass, Rick Shadrach Lazar- percussion, Larry Crowe - drums , Ray Hickey Jr. - guitar and koto, with Xiaoqiu Lin on Erhu and Victoria Yeh on violin. The inviting ambiance of 3030 Dundas West will be set up like a jazz club with tables & chairs for this event with a cash bar and dinner service available. The concert will features a dynamic and engaging setlist from the new album and classic Ron Korb originals showcasing Ron’s virtuosity on the flute and his skill in creating evocative soundscapes.
