Don Morrison’s Raging Thirst hail from Adelaide, Australia and got together in 2018. Led by multi award wining songwriter Don Morrison who has shared the stage with many of the biggest names in Australian music, like Midnight Oil, Hunters and Collectors, Billy Thorpe, Men At Work, and dozens more in over forty years in the music game.
He has worked with Bo Diddly, Joe Cocker, Rodriguez and even Billy Ray Cyrus. He was brave enough to stand next to Shakin’ Stephens in a urinal and nearly killed by Willie Nelson in Austin, Texas.
He’s done gigs from Perth to Parramatta, from Sydney to San Antonio and released sixteen albums of original song so far.
Don has teamed up with his two sons, Eddie on the double bass, and Jake on guitar, piano and Hammond organ. They’ve taught him some new chords, brought him into the 21st century and taken the band’s music to another level. Long time comrade Andy Przygonski keeps it all together on drums .
To get an idea of the music on their new album, Dreams, think of a blending of the sounds of Bruce Springsteen, Paul Kelly and Pink Floyd (and even a touch of Roy Orbison!) Or just give it a listen!
