Colourful, confident pop charged with club-ready energy. Actor, singer, and dancer Frankie Grande is a recognized Broadway and cabaret performer, as well as a host and popular reality TV and social media personality. A glamorous and busy presence in New York and Los Angeles since he debuted in the 2000s, Grande has starred in a number of On and Off-Broadway productions, including Mamma Mia!, Rock of Ages, and the satirical jukebox musical Titanique; not to mention his one-man show Livin' La Vida Grande. He has competed on numerous seasons of Big Brother and appeared on shows like RuPaul's Drag Race, Style Code Live, and as the character of Frankini in the Henry Danger franchise. In 2025, he moved into the dance-pop world with his single "Rhythm of Love."
Born in 1983 in New York City, Grande spent his early years living in Englewood, New Jersey before moving with his mother to Boca Raton, Florida. There, he grew up alongside his siblings, including his maternal half-sister singer/actress Ariana Grande. After high school, he attended Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, studying biology, theater, and dance. Following his graduation, he pursued a career in theater, appearing in productions of Pippin and A Chorus Line, as well as starring as Boots the monkey in a touring production of Dora the Explorer Live! (Dora's Pirate Adventure). In 2007, he made his Broadway debut as a cast member in Mamma Mia!, which ran until 2010. Along with his own acting work, he has contributed to various productions, including the 2009 Broadway staging of Hamlet starring Jude Law, as well as revivals of La Bête and Born Yesterday.
In 2013, he debuted his autobiographical one-man show, Livin' la Vida Grande, at New York's Laurie Beechman Theatre. He has continued to revive the show in both New York and Los Angeles. Other theater performances include playing the role of Consuela in an Off-Broadway revival of the musical Pageant and playing Franz in a 2014 Broadway run of Rock of Ages. He has remained a vital presence on the theater scene, starring in productions of The Unauthorized Musical Parody of: Rocky, The Rocky Horror Show, and Cruel Intentions: The Musical. He also starred in a 2018 production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and took on the role of Captain Victor Garber in stagings of the Céline Dion parody jukebox musical Titanique.
Building upon his stage success, Grande moved into TV, competing in Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother, and Candy Crush. He has also appeared as both an interviewer, host, or judge on shows like the Kids Choice Awards, Style Code Live, and RuPaul's Drag Race. Along the way, he also built a loyal social media following, garnering hundreds of thousands of subscribers on his YouTube channel. As an actor, he plays the recurring role of Frankini in the Henry Danger series and subsequent spin-off Danger Force and Henry Danger: The Movie.
In 2025, he added recording artist to his growing list of multi-hyphenate titles, releasing the upbeat electronic dance-pop single "Rhythm of Love." ~ Matt Collar
