Dulcimers BELONG in front of rock bands, and this is probably the first album to put a 3-string dulcimer in that featured role, covering classic rock and pop songs. Sometimes staying faithful to the hit version, and other times dramatically recasting the song. The first half of the album is mostly folk-rock, beautiful ballads, and pop. The second half ... the gloves come off: Power pop, New Wave, "Lucy in the Sky" with a beatboxer, Scruggs-style speed metal, 3-string "Bohemian Rhapsody" with a head-banging non-guitar solo, a "Born to Run" that rocks harder than The Boss's version ... and finally a barefoot musical party at the end. Two original songs are included for good measure.
