Ah...thanks a lot, dre17 ! I could say a lot about Joe Dassin, the hell of my youth, who compromised himself in unbearable “Hits” (les champs-elysées) that he performed in mending programs on French TV.

But here... he would have been better off trying a career as a folk-singer in the States... admittedly, the challenge would have been complicated, but listening to this anthology, and to the timbre and quality of his voice, he should have taken the plunge...
(I've been an exclusive jazz aficionado for 49 years... and yet...)
