La Ritirata, one of the most important early music groups on the international scene with more than 15 years of experience, has created and performed the soundtrack for La vida breve, the new series from Movistar Plus+. Its founders, Josetxu Obregón and Tamar Lalo, have created the entire musical design for this production, coordinating all the musical scenes and supervising the musicians and instruments that appear on stage. This is not a typical soundtrack, as it has been created from original music of the period, revolving around the personality of Farinelli, one of the protagonists of the series. This period production, full of humor and irreverence, recreates the surprising events that took place during the shortest reign in Spanish history—229 days—with the most unknown monarch: Louis I, son of Philip V. It was created by Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor, and is directed by Valor and Diego Núñez. Javier Gutiérrez, Leonor Watling, Carlos Scholz, and Alicia Armenteros are part of the cast.
