The unholy “part swamp punk blues, part punk boogie” trio of Andrew Tolley (The Hasselhoff Experiment) and rock’n’roll stalwarts Matt Rapley and Sam Ralston, Bloodbags have finally spewed forth a full-length album, set to crawl out of the gutter and onto our shelves on June 6th. Twelve years into their existence, and their first full length album, out May 2025, after four singles, numerous compilations & a split LP. BLOODBAGS are a noisy rock & roll three piece from Tamaki Makaurau, part swamp punk blues, part punk boogie. Eight tracks of rollicking pummel, pound, heft & hiss. Recorded & mixed with Matthew Heine (SPUD, Solid Gold Hell), out in the Waitākere Ranges through 2023/2024. Mastered by Marco Butcher in North Carolina. Seven originals, & an obscure cover of “Crawl” by 1980s NYC swamp punk freaks BLACK SNAKES. Have supported the Dwarves, SNFU, Mudhoney, Cosmic Psychos, Guitar Wolf & C.O.F.F.I.N. Done two tours of duty thru the USA. Manic, locomotive, distorted, swinging, thumping primitive rock & roll.
