Due to the inadequate packaging, it is impossible for anyone running across this CD in a store to have any idea what the music sounds like, or to realize that the performances are dominated by six vocalists. Essentially a Latin jazz date that looks both toward Cuba and Brazil, the set features arrangements and electric keyboard solos by Clare Fischer, spots on woodwinds for Don Shelton (who also sings tenor with the vocalists), four instrumentals among the 11 songs and plenty of spirited group singing. An interesting effort.~Scott Yanow
