''Singer'' is a song cycle that follows the fate of a young girl as she at first finds fame, and the aftermath of stardom as things begin to fall apart. This collaboration between English rhythm and blues and jazz singer Georgie Fame, composer and arranger Steve Gray, and soul singer Madeline Bell (Blue Mink) is a live concert from 2004 recorded by NTR Dutch Radio in Tilburg, Holland. Over a 50 year period Fame has played with many top jazz bands, orchestras, and rock groups, as well as fronting his own bands. He has worked with Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Joan Armatrading, and is a founding member of Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings.
