Ineffekt - HEAD FOR THE HILLS (2025)

Wobbling basses, swinging percussion and catchy vocals: after playing all over Europe, supporting Bicep, Sammy Virji, Disclosure, KI/KI, Mall Grab, Avalon Emerson a.o. and playing key festivals Dekmantel, Horst and Awakenings, Ineffekt returns with his new record ‘HEAD FOR THE HILLS’. A 7-track project that showcases the range he operates in. Including collaborations with UK-vocalist Le3 bLACK and melody mastermind Baril. Opening the record is title track ‘head for the hills’, a first sidestep into dubstep territory for Ineffekt. Expanding his palet right at the very opening of the record. The following ‘activeee’ featuring Le3 bLACK keeps things in the UK corner, a garage-y grime crossover track that keeps the dancefloor momentum going. Key single ‘long sleeves’ takes the record to it’s first peak while Baril-collaboration ‘about you’ resets the energy levels in the form of a vulnerable ambient pop song. The energy picks up again with peak time dancefloor cuts ‘do you hear me?’ and ‘quick!’, further exploring energetic grooves, catchy melodies and wobbly sounddesign. Closer ‘wonda’ rounds things up by going in an emotional direction. Glistening vocal stabs, soaring melodies and breakbeats work towards a ecstatic ending of the project.
