Los Dacios - El Triunfador Con los Dacios (1970)

..The group began with Juan Urbina (lead guitar), Dani Gutierrez (rhythm guitar), Pochy Agostini (bass guitar), and Cali Alcántara (drums). They began playing instrumentals under the name Los Tarks in 1966. Dani and Pochy also played piano. In early 1967, Dani brought a friend, Dino Dell, into the group. Dino was a singer, and with his arrival, the group changed its name to Los Dacios.

The group participated in the new wave competition held in mid-1967, in the Plaza de Acho and finally at the Campo de Marte Olympic Pool. At the time, they were all 17 years old and in their fifth year of high school. As an anecdote, the Dacios sisters formed the first all-female new wave group: Las Demis, made up of Isi Gutiérrez, lead guitar; Cana Agostini, drums; Pochi Alcántara, rhythm guitar; and JJ Urbina, electronic bass. Las Demis also participated in the aforementioned competition.

Los Dacios were one of the winners of the competition and immediately afterward recorded their first 45 for the APOLO label: Corazón de Papel and No la toques más, songs that were very successful. The second 45 was Ritmo de la Lluvia (Rhythm of the Rain) and Amigos y Novios (Friends and Boyfriends), and the third was Sé que nunca volver (I Know That It Will Never Return) and España a Go-Go (instrumental)...
