"a novel, fascinating act, capable of many moments of transcendent beauty." MusicInOxford
Fifteen is the collaborative album from France born, Oxford, UK based singer songwriter Camille Baziadoly and The Filthy Honey, the artist moniker of Oxford producer and multi-instrumentalist Phill Honey. Fifteen is released via the PinDrop label on 25th April 2025. Camille has been making her name with her debut solo singles Skin on Fire and Fading Pressure released in 2024 and Phill has long been a lynchpin of the Oxford music scene having played in legendary post-rock band The Rock of Travolta. He recently released his eponymously titled debut solo album. Camille and Phill originally produced the album in 2010 working as Dear City and the time has come for the album to finally find its way into the world.
Opener Bear In The Cave has a ballad-esque melody, skittering beats and dense atmospherics that evoke Homogenic era Björk. Away Sometimes perfectly capture the combination of Camille’s melancholic songwriting and haunting vocals and Phill's dense, immaculate production and guitar playing. Sideways builds up with its strings, guitars and layered chorus to a romantic, dreamy effect. Fading Pressure (revisited) is a brand new version of the song that Camille released as her second solo single, with Phill taking inspiration for the production from Radiohead's Morning Mr Magpie. On The Walls, with its spooky, fairy tale vibe, calls to mind Múm and Only The Moon is set to a swaying, marching witching hour waltz that wouldn't sound out of place on a Tom Waits record. On album closer Dear City, Camille delivers a haunting, Cocteau Twins-esque paen to Oxford - starting desolate but with a sweet, bright ending evoking a special city for her to make music in and feel settled.
The songs were written by Camille, and arranged and produced by Phill.
