EXCEPTIONAL 2004 BROADCAST FROM JUDAS PRIEST, BACK WITH ROB HALFORD ON VOCALS • The annual rock/metal festival held in Sweden since June 1992, The Sweden Rock Festival, while having a clear rock/metal focus, is noted for its diversity across these genres, from southern rock bands such as Molly Hatchet to death metal legends like Obituary. • When the festival began in 1992, it featured nine relatively unknown bands and only lasted one day. The next year the festival was expanded to two days and more bands were added to the line-up. From 1993 to 2002 the festival would last two days; over those years it would also begin to feature bigger name acts. In 2000 the festival was expanded to three days. From 2007 the festival expanded to four days and now features approximately 120 different bands/artists each year. • Some notable appearances in the past have included Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Uriah Heep, Europe, Deep Purple, Accept, Motörhead, Saxon, Nazareth, Poison, Status Quo, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scorpions, Porcupine Tree, Kamelot, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Testament, W.A.S.P, ZZ Top, The Orchestra, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Slayer and Guns N' Roses. • In 2004 the headliners were Judas Priest who played the festival on 10th June, when they put on a superb show that fans still cherish to this day. Featuring the return after 11 years of Rob Halford to the band, and performed as part of Priest’s 2004 European Tour, the entire Judas Priest set was recorded for live FM radio broadcast and now features on this new CD for the first time.
