Bonnie Raitt, live from The Record Plant, Sausalito, CA 9th December 1973
American blues singer-songwriter, musician, and activist Bonnie Raitt recorded live at The Record Plant in Sausalito CA on December 9th 1973. Broadcast on KSAN 95 FM in San Francisco. At the time Bonnie had just released her 3rd studio album Takin' My Time during the summer that year.
"For many years, I couldn't stand listening to my own voice, not enough gravitas or experience to convey the depth of emotion I wanted to express." A poignant confession of self-doubt revealed by the Cambridge blues great Bonnie Raitt to Rolling Stone magazine in later years. Although Raitt may have doubted her initial spiritual abilities, her power undeniably came from her own depth and determination. Her unique style is a salute to her heroes and heroines, namely the blues greats.
