Yasmin comes from Denmark, but has also lived in the US. She released her first solo album "Slow" in 1991 on EMI, also released in US – the single "Wanna Dance" won a Danish Grammy award. In 1993 came the follow-up album "A Scent of Flowers". She has been a backing vocalist for an endless range of artists, including Laid Back, Lucas, YB, Blachman Thomas, S.O.A.P. and Zoom. She is currently half of the jazz/soul/electronic duo Aphrodesia, with her husband Asger Steenholdt, formerly of Big Fat Snake.
