Croma - Cambra Blanca (2025) Hi-Res

CROMA is a trio project led by Guillem Salles, rooted in jazz and contemporary music. The ensemble features Vicente Marín on piano, Marc Sánchez on double bass, and Guillem Salles on drums and compositions. The band was formed in late 2021 and has since performed numerous concerts across Spain and the Netherlands, playing at various venues and festivals, including Munijazz in Spain.

Triafòbia is a suite that forms part of Croma’s first album, Cambra Blanca.

Like the other three suites, it is inspired by a short story written by Guillem Salles, the group’s composer and drummer. The story unfolds in a dystopia where its inhabitants function like a computer algorithm, with no freedom to choose. The suite is divided into three movements. The first two movements revolve around a 12/8 time signature, which transforms throughout the different sections. The final movement shifts to a 4/4 time signature and is the most descriptive of the three. While maintaining the band’s acoustic sound, Croma introduces various post-production elements that ultimately define the sound of this debut album.
