Shirley Lewis (née Fredericks) is a British backing singer best known for working with George Michael and Elton John. She is also the younger sister of soul singer Linda Lewis. In the early 1980s, Shirley released dance singles like Love's Warming Up and Didn't Say A Word, and later formed the group Lewis Sisters with her siblings. In 1988, she went solo again with the single (You Used To Be) Romantic, which led to her only solo album — a dance-pop release with house influences produced largely by Shep Pettibone. The single Realistic briefly entered the Billboard Hot 100, but later singles failed to chart widely. After fading from the spotlight, she returned to backing vocals and married Luke Goss of the pop duo Bros. They later moved to Los Angeles.
