The band King Crimson opened for Humble Pie as part of their joint US tour. Alexis Korner and Peter Thorup accompanied Humble Pie.
At the end of the tour, Alexis invited Crimsos to join him without Fripp. Soon they found a name for their band: S.N.A.P.E. - "Something Nasty Happens Practically Everyday" — Something bad happens almost every day - that's how the band's name stands for. They recorded a studio album, which is called "Alexis Korner" on the tracker. & Snape – Accidentally Borne In New Orleans». This was followed by a tour of the UK, Italy and Germany.
Due to health problems, Alexis, who smoked 50 Gitanes cigarettes a day, disbanded the band, and Snape went down in history.
