He is a "solitaire" among European guitarists. Guitarist Martin Müller is one of the few who has developed an acoustic guitar strung with nylon strings into its own form of expression in the context of jazz and improvisation. The SZ described him as an "institution for the Brazilian guitar in Germany". His style is rooted in European guitar music, influenced by the guitar music of Brazil in dialog with jazz.
Tempo Brasileiro, that is Bossa Nova, Baião, Jazzy ballads - in duo and trio - complemented by compositions by some Brazilian authors. The recordings were made over a period of 25 years and, if the tracks were still available, were remixed and all titles remastered in the renowned Pauler Acoustic Studio.
